Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and is published to satisfy the Washington My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and similar laws such as Nevada SB 370. It applies to consumer health data: information that identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health status, or that could reasonably indicate an attempt to obtain health care services. SaffronSeal is a notary marketplace, not a health care provider, but some bookings touch this kind of information.

1. What consumer health data we collect

• Signing locations that indicate health care — when you book a signing at a hospital, clinic, hospice, assisted-living or other care facility, the address and any location name you provide could indicate that you or the signer is receiving care.
• Booking types — choosing a “hospital signing” or “healthcare and senior living” service, or noting a medical power of attorney or health care directive as the document type.
• Notes you write — free-text notes for the notary sometimes mention a medical condition, mobility limitation or the reason for the appointment.

We do not collect biometric data, and we do not infer health data from your other activity.

2. Where it comes from

Only from you, when you create a booking, and from the notary if they add a note about the appointment. We do not obtain health data from third parties.

3. Why we collect it

Solely to provide the service you asked for: to tell the assigned notary where to go and what to expect, to match you with a notary who accepts hospital or care-facility signings, and to keep a record of the booking for support and dispute purposes. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or anything unrelated to your booking.

4. Who we share it with

• The notary assigned to your booking, so they can perform the signing.
• Service providers that host our systems and deliver our email, bound by contract to use the data only on our behalf. None of them is an affiliate.

We do not sell consumer health data and we do not share it for advertising. We do not use geofences around health care facilities.

5. How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for as long as your account is active and for the period needed to resolve disputes and meet legal record-keeping duties, then deleted or anonymized. You can ask us to delete it sooner (Section 6).

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you and access it;
• Withdraw consent to our collection or sharing of it;
• Have it deleted, including from our service providers; and
• Receive a list of the third parties we have shared it with.

To exercise a right, email privacy@saffronseal.com from the address on your account or use the account deletion option in Settings. We respond within 45 days. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our response; we will answer the appeal in writing within 45 days and tell you how to contact the Washington Attorney General if you are not satisfied.
